We want to ensure our pupils have healthy bodies and minds. Children can suffer wellbeing difficulties at many times throughout childhood, from self-esteem and belonging to bereavement and anxiety. Encouraging children to talk and have their voice is important. We offer support within school and access support from many external agencies too.
Apps & Websites For Children
This website is supported by Lincolnshire CAMHS as a way of improving and supporting mental health for our children and is used at Belmont. Children have their own user name and password, and time is given in school for them to access the site. The site can also be accessed from home at any time.
Zumos aims to build self-confidence and wellbeing. The website contains a chill out space to help your child to practise being a mindful person and build their inner strength to be a resilient person. It can help to find happiness in your child's life every day. The website also has an area which can help a child to recognise how to be their own best friend, their greatest motivator, personal trainer and wisest mentor. There is a whole library of expert written vocal recordings on how to deal with any issues a child might be facing in the categories of feelings, life, relationships and body. Your child's access to the recordings will be monitored by the school, allowing us to inform you should your child need support with a specific area. |
https://app.ollee.org.uk/#/welcome Ollee is a digital friend for children aged 8-11, created by Parent Zone and funded by BBC Children in Need’s A Million & Me initiative, which aims to make a difference to children’s emotional wellbeing. It’s designed to help children reflect on how they feel and to process their experiences with the support and help of their parents and carers – and it does this by offering them advice about a range of subjects: school, family, friends, their body, the internet and the world. For each of these subjects, children can choose an emotion that matches how they feel about it: happy, angry, sad, confused, frustrated, stressed or worried. Next, they can choose from a list of topics – for instance, a child who was worried about school might be able to select ‘I haven’t done my homework’ as the cause of their worry. Finally, they’ll see a page of advice about the topic, presented in child-friendly bite-sized chunks they can read then or save for later. |
https://luminova.app/lincolnshire Lumi Nova is a fun Digital Therapy App to help your child to self-manage their worries. It is free for families in Lincolnshire. It is not recommended for children who have severe anxiety. |
