We had a different sort of challenge to celebrate World Book Day this year, and how wonderful it turned out to be! Given the task of creating book characters using potatoes, we were overwhelmed by all the brilliant ideas. They were great fun! Much thanks to everyone at home who helped with the creations.
On the day, Mr Grossmith shared the funny story of Jack and the Baked Beanstalk, which has a great twist on the traditional tale we know so well. During the afternoon, everyone had the opportunity to look at all the entries in the hall and have a go at identifying the different characters.
We hope everyone uses their World Book Day token to obtain a great new book - the tokens can be used up to 29 March 2020.
