What a term it has been! The last month has been particularly exciting with our invitations to take part in the Gingerbread Trail at the Grantham Christmas Fayre and the St Wulfram's Christmas Tree Festival where children from our Art Club made decorations based on the theme of 'Winter Through The Keyhole'. We know lots of you went along to the church to see the beautiful trees on display.
We were also excited to welcome everyone to our Christmas Fayre at the beginning of December. This was a resounding success, thanks to your generous support. The amount raised will be announced in the New Year.
The children in EYFS and KS1 were very excited to perform their nativity, 'The Angel Express' in front of their families last week. They worked so hard learning lines, dancing, singing and playing instruments and everyone had a wonderful time!
A particular highlight of the festive season has been the Chartwell's Christmas Lunch! It was delicious - as you can see from the photo below! Our thanks go to Miss Rowlands and Miss Misiak for cooking the meals!
We were glad so many were able to join us at annual Carol Service at the Church of Ascension last Friday. Our thanks go to the Reverend Sam Parsons for her kind invitation to the church. We were also able to gather together in the hall for our Christingle Service today, one of our very special events of the year. This was followed this afternoon of course by the Christmas parties which were great fun. Our annual Christmas Quiz, this year hosted by Mr Allsopp, was a closely fought contest, with Year 3 - Impala Class being the worthy winners!
The final announcement of the day was for the class with the best attendance this term. The children in Year 6 - Taruca Class were very excited to hear they were the winners with a fabulous 96.28% and they will receive a special treat in January.
This end of term brings a sad farewell, as we say goodbye to Mrs Short who is moving on to new adventures. She has had a long association with the school, and her infectious enthusiasm for teaching is going to be greatly missed by us all. We thank her so much for all her hard work and immense dedication and wish her the very best for the future.
The Governors and staff at Belmont would like to take this opportunity to wish you a merry Christmas and a happy and healthy New Year. We hope you are able to enjoy some wonderful times together over the Christmas period and look forward to seeing everyone again on Monday, 6 January 2025.
