The 4 C's Of Being A Parent - New Course in June

In January, we were delighted to welcome Ed and Sarah Hollamby to our school to lead the SUMO Stop Understand and Move On course. The course enabled us to explore new ways to help our children navigate through this rollercoaster called ’life.’ It was full of fantastic takeaways and delivered in a fun and relaxed way.

The course proved to be very popular so I am pleased to let you know that we will be welcoming Ed and Sarah back to Belmont in July 2025. Following on from the previous course, they now also offer a second course for parents and carers: The 4C's of Being a Parent. This course aims to help families create a 'toolkit' of tips, tools and suggestions to help children manage the big emotions and challenges that inevitably come their way. This second course continues to build on the strategies explored previously and looks at some key areas of parenting that can help us to better understand and support our children and to develop positive relationships as a family.

The course is completely free of charge, taking place on Friday, 6 June; Friday, 13 June, Friday, 27 June, and Friday, 4 July from 1:30 pm – 3:10 pm. Ed and Sarah come with a wealth of experience and expertise working in a wide range of sectors and it is a great chance to meet other parents and learn something new, with a cup of tea and a biscuit.

To find out more about the course or to ask any questions, please contact me via the school office to arrange a time. A copy of the letter that was sent home to parents and carers can also be downloaded HERE and from our Family Support pages of the website.

If you are interested in attending, please email Andrea.McCormack@belmont.lincs.sch.uk to book your place on the course.

Thank you for your continued support.
