  • Getting Ready For September

    To help you to prepare for that big day when we return to school on Wednesday, 6 September 2023, information you many find useful can be found below.

     

    The School Day
      EYFS, Year 1, Year 2 Year 3, Year 4, Year 5, Year 6
    School Gates Open 8:45 am
    Registration 8:50 am
    Gates Closed 9:00 am
    Morning Break 10:45 am - 11:00 am
    Lunch Break 12:20 pm - 1:20 pm
    Finishing Time 3:20 pm 3:25 pm

     

    PE

    • On PE Days, children should arrive at school in their Belmont PE Kit - days will be communicated to parents/carers each term.The PE timetable for Term 1 will be announced as soon as possible.
    • All pupils should wear school uniform for the first week of the term - Wednesday, 6 September to Friday, 8 September.

     

    School Uniform

    • Please see our School Uniform page for full details of the uniform and PE Kit required.
    • Children should wear black, sensible, sturdy shoes. 
    • Trainers should only be worn on PE Days and children should not wear open toed sandals or slip on shoes.
    • School uniform with school logo including the Belmont PE shirt may be bought online at Nationwide School Uniforms.
    • Jewellery - only one stud earring per ear lobe is allowed to be worn at school. Earrings need to be removed or covered for PE and taken out by your child for swimming.
    • Please name all items of clothing so if any get lost they can quickly be returned to their owner.

     

    Healthy Snacks & School Lunch

    • All children should bring a named plastic drinks bottle that can be refilled with water during the school day.
    • Bottles of Prime, other energy drinks and fizzy drinks are not permitted. We ask that Prime bottles are not re-used as water bottles.
    • Children can bring a healthy snack for morning break, no crisps or chocolate/sweets please. Children in EYFS and Key Stage 1 are given the option of free fruit each day.

     

    • Unless having a school meal, children should bring their lunch in a named lunch box.
    • If your child wishes to have school meals these should be ordered online via https://nel.mealselector.co.uk TWO WEEKS in advance.

    Early Bird and Breakfast Club
    Early Bird - Opens at 7:45 am, the cost is £3.00 per session and must

    be booked prior to attending.
    Breakfast Club - Opens at 8:20 am, the cost is £1.00 per session and must

    be booked prior to attending.


    For both clubs breakfast is varied and includes fruit, yoghurts, cereal, toast, juice, milk beans/spaghetti on toast and bagels. There are various activities available for the children.

    Children must not be left alone at the office and should be handed over to a member of staff no earlier than 7:45 am for Early Bird or 8:20 am for Breakfast Club.
